Job Title:
Cylinder Manufacturing Technician
Job Description:
The
Cylinder Manufacturing Technician is a new position, responsible for
maintaining plating machine functionality and for light maintenance, such as
changing filters and maintaining chemical baths. Duties include: sequential
programming, finishing and plating cylinders, cylinder preparation for laser
engraving, dechroming and rechroming of cylinders. Secondary duties
include: assisting with chemical sample evaluations and operation of the
proof press.
Experience in printing, cylinder manufacture and/or cylinder plating is
highly desirable. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Ability to read blueprints
and work with schematics, experience with micrometers and various precision
measuring instruments would be helpful. Good organizational skills; good
communication skills; attention to detail. Ability to work shifts. 1-year
on-the-job training period.
Job Title:
Chemical Technician
Job Description:
The
Chemical Technician is a new position, responsible for maintaining the laser
department lab and equipment, keeping inventory stock of titration solutions
and additives for chemical sample evaluations, maintaining proper chemical
levels for all baths and making adjustments when needed. Secondary functions
include proofing of cylinders and assisting the Cylinder Manufacturing
Technician.
A chemistry background or experience in a lab environment is preferred. Must
possess a keen eye for detail, be a logical thinker, precise and
observant. Ability to wear a full-face respirator required. A team-player
attitude and flexibility are necessary.
